For over five decades, Reed Technology has offered solutions to the challenges presented by the information age. As part of the LexisNexis family, Reed Tech serves its clients in the public and private sectors with the expertise and capacity required in the technology-focused field of content management services.
We were incorporated in 1966 as International Computaprint Corporation (ICC) and, a few years later, were awarded our first government contract. In the mid-1960s, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office began to envision using computer technology in support of the patent publishing process. In 1969, ICC won the contract to develop and operate a system that would perform this work.
ICC officially became Reed Technology and Information Services Inc. in 1995. In 2005, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) mandated that all prescription drug labeling information be submitted by Life Sciences manufacturers in Structured Product Labeling eXtensible Markup Language (SPL XML) format. Based on this need, Reed Tech broadened its offerings to provide SPL XML submission services to the Life Sciences industry.
We celebrated the issuance of the eight millionth U.S. patent in 2011, having electronically captured and prepared for publication well over half of all patents granted in the history of the United States.
Today, Reed Technology’s service suite includes all facets of information capture, transformation, life cycle management and distribution of large volumes of technical documents with a commitment to precision, quality and customer service.
